Thompsons Dairy Unit is centrally located 15 minutes from Reefton, 45 minutes from Greymouth and two and a half hours from Christchurch. This 300 ha farm milks 700 cows through a 54 bail rotary cowshed with automatic cup removers and MilkHub. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dairy Farm Assistant, to join our team and perform general farm duties.
The right candidate will:
- Be punctual and reliable
- Be a team player who is also able to work unsupervised
- Be fit, healthy and take pride in their work
- Have some computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
Ideally, you will have some dairy farming experience.
The position includes basic standard single accommodation, close to the region’s recreational activities.
