Landcorp Farming is a State-owned Enterprise, owning or leasing 376,156 ha of land. With 122 properties and 1.5 million stock units, we are New Zealand’s largest farming operation.
Sweetwater Station is in the Far North,10 km north-west of Kaitaia. The complex comprises three dairy units and a support block, milking a total of 2600 cows. Dairy Unit 2, with a team of 4 full-time staff, milks 850 cows through a 54 bail rotary cowshed with cup removers. It has a split calving herd. You would also be part of a wider group that offers learning and advancement opportunities and social interaction.
The right candidate will:
- Be motivated, enthusiastic and reliable
- Have good communication skills
- Take pride in their work and surrounding environment
- Have some computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
Ideally, you will be studying to enhance your dairy skills, and have sound goals and plans for your future.
The position includes a good 3 bedroom unit, close to beaches, amenities and schooling and offers superb ‘extra-curricular’ activities, including fishing, diving, surfing, swimming and hunting.
