Landcorp Waimakariri near Christchurch is a 350 ha progressive 900 cow dairy unit which is growing in numbers. It is attached to a separate dry stock farm finishing lambs and dairy young stock. Waimakariri Dairy is going through a development with four centre pivots and water storage dam which will hold 20 days of water. It offers excellent facilities, which include a 60 bail rotary shed with cup removers and pro tract. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and trustworthy Dairy Farm Assistant to join our team and perform general farm duties.
The right candidate will:
- Be self-motivated and reliable
- Be a team player who is also able to work unsupervised
- Have good communication skills
- Take pride in their work and surrounding environment
- Have some computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
Ideally, you will have previous farming experience.
The position includes good accommodation with options for either a family or a single person. Waimakariri is well located close to all amenities, recreational activities, schools and school buses.
