Landcorp Farming is a State-owned Enterprise, owning or leasing 374,948 ha of land.  With 105 properties and 1.5 million stock units, we are New Zealand’s largest farming operation.

 

Rangitaiki Station, situated 35 minutes east of Taupo, is a large-scale sheep, beef and deer enterprise wintering 81,000 stock units. 

 

There is an opportunity for someone with a positive and proactive nature and previous farming experience to be part of a successful, high performing team.  On offer is a variety of work in our 1800 ha finishing unit which has modern facilities embracing the latest technology.  The primary focus is finishing yearling deer and lambs to tight timeframes and specifications.  Other classes of complementary stock are also farmed throughout this unit. 

 

 

The right candidate will: 

  • Be enthusiastic, motivated and ready for the next challenge
  • Have a sound knowledge of modern farming practices
  • Have 2-3 working dogs
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be a team player who is also able to work unsupervised
  • Be fit, healthy and take pride in their work

 

The position includes high standard accommodation with options for either a family or a single person.  Rangitaiki Station is in a superb, central location offering vast recreational opportunities.
