A Manager’s position has become available on Thompsons Dairy Farm for the coming season. This 300ha farm milking 650 cows is situated at Mawheraiti south of Reefton. This is a great opportunity for an experienced and dynamic thinking person.
The right candidate will have
- Staff management experience and motivational skills
- Excellent pasture management skills
- Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry
- Advanced and technical understanding of dairy systems
- Financial budgeting skills
- Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems
The Dairy Farm Manager will be accountable to a Farm Business Manager, and has full responsibility for recruitment and management of their own team.
The position will include a sound three bedroom home, close to all amenities, recreational activities and schooling.
