Landcorp Pouarua is a progressive dairy unit near Ngatea on the Hauraki Plains, comprising 8 farms and 5000 cows on 2200 ha. Pouarua E is a 149 ha block, based on peat soils, currently milking 380 cows through a 30 aside herringbone shed. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic thinking person to fill this position.
The right candidate will have
- Staff management experience and motivational skills
- Excellent pasture management skills
- Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry
- Advanced and technical understanding of dairy systems
- Financial budgeting skills
- Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems
The Dairy Farm Manager is accountable to the Farm Business Manager, and has full responsibility for recruitment and management of their own team.
The position will include a sound three bedroom home, close to all amenities, recreational activities and good quality schooling.
